The Radiology Book Project

This is a call for authors!


Dear potential author,

The Journal of Radiology Case Reports develops in cooperation with the publisher McGraw-Hill and the educational Radiology community Radiolopolis, a revolutionary interactive book project.

We introduce a new, unique concept by cross-referring all book contents to truly interactive online contents, where readers are able to scroll through the image stacks, window/level and perform other functions similar as on the radiologist's workstation. These features have been adapted from the interactive Journal of Radiology Case Reports (www.radiologycases.com) and the international educational Radiology community Radiolopolis (www.radiolopolis.com) who enjoy great popularity because of these unique features. This book series will be divided by sections (e.g. Brain, Chest, Pediatric etc.) - for each section one book. This will NOT be a textbook in a classic sense but a "rapid fire" case review with pertinent images and high yield information for the appropriate entity. Thus, this will be a fairly minimal amount of work for the author compared to elaborate textbooks. We provide more details about requirements and editorial process in our dedicated Author group which can be accessed at http://www.radiolopolis.com/authors.


We accept up to 3 authors for each subspecialty book. There are still several author slots left and we are therefore reaching out for motivated authors with experience/specialty training in the following areas:


  • Brain

  • Chest

  • Cardiac

  • Genitourinary

  • Head & Neck

  • Musculoskeletal

  • Nuclear Medicine

  • OB/GYN

  • Pediatric

  • Physics/radiation safety

  • Spine



The author needs to be at least fellow in that particular area to be eligible for application.

This book project is a worldwide endeavor and in collaboration with the international Radiology community Radiolopolis and the interactive Journal of Radiology Case Reports it will be a ground breaking publication which levers Radiology literature into a new dimension.

How to join the author group


1. First, please register in our affiliated Radiology community at www.radiolopolis.com.

2. After logged in, please go to the author group page at www.radiolopolis.com/authors
You can find a direct link to that group in the top menu under "Research" and then "Become Radiology Book Author" (see figure 1)

Next, please join the group by clicking on the link "Join group". (Figure 2)

You willl see a notification that the group administrator first has to approve your request to join the group - it might take a few minutes or hours.

As soon as the group administrator approved your request, you will be notified by email (please make sure that the email info@radiolopolis.org and radiolopolis@edurad.org are not in your spam folder!)
